I’m a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Colorado Boulder and I’m passionate about science and science communication.
S C I E N C E
I study how stress gives rise to neurological disorders and how lifestyle interventions, like exercise and diet, can mold a disease-resilient brain. I’m interested in the mechanisms by which physical health can promote mental health and use molecular and behavioral tools in rodents to reveal how these interventions impact neural plasticity, learning, memory, and mood.
W R I T I N G
I like turning complex data into user-friendly content. I’ve written original research papers, reviews, book chapters, and more for scientific journals. I’ve also distilled research for general audiences through news articles, feature stories, profiles, blog posts and a smattering of other pieces for outlets like The Scientist and Colorado Arts and Sciences Magazine.
